Free Screening of “The Story of Stuff” and Swap/Sell Event!

When: Sunday, January 9, 2011, from 12:20-1:30pm

Where: Fellowship Hall, First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Antonio

Refreshments and a kids’ activity will be available!

The “Story of Stuff,” by activist and materials economy expert Annie Leonard, takes you on a provocative tour of consumer-driven culture–from resource extraction to iPod incineration. Watch this 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of production, consumption, and waste. It’ll teach you something. It’ll make you laugh. And it just might change the way you look at your stuff.

Got Stuff? Swap or Sell!
Help us to reduce waste and negative impact by bringing unwanted or un-needed “stuff” in good condition (working appliances, clothing, toys, etc.) to the Fellowship Hall before or after the screening to swap with or sell to others! Please provide transportation for larger or heavier items.
